Athletico Fitness Challenge *Must wear tennis shoes to participate!
The Athletico Fitness Challenge is sponsored by Athletico, an outpatient physical therapy center located locally in the N-Sports Facility of Washington Missouri and multiple locations throughout St. Louis and the surrounding regions. Athletico would like to promote a healthy way of life for children by presenting a Fitness Challenge to school ages kids attending the Washington Town and Country Fair.
Date: Event will be held on Thursday, August 4th in the afternoon from 2:30-4:30pm. Awards will be presented on stage in the Family Fun Center at 4:30 p.m.
Participants: This event is geared towards kids 5-18. Age Groups will be broken down as follows: Ages: 5-6; 7-8; 9- 10; 11-13; 14-18
Details of Event: The PRORehab-Fitness Challenge will consist of a series of agility, strength, and conditioning stations. Stations will be: Ladder drills, cone drills, hurdle jumps, 10 push ups, 10 sit ups, sprinting, and 10 jumping jacks. This will be a timed challenge that will be recorded and posted for each individual.
Registration forms will be available on the Fair website and in our Washington clinic. Each child will report to the registration table to sign in, prior to running the challenge, at anytime between 2:30 and 4:15 p.m. Proper tennis shoes are required for participation. You may register at the time of the event as long as a parent is available to sign the registration form or you bring a signed form.
Medals will be awarded for Gold, Silver, and Bronze places. All participants will receive a participation certificate with their name and time printed. Winners will be announced and presented awards at the conclusion of the event in the Family Fun Center Stage. Postings of all participants and their times will be on display throughout the rest of the fair.
