This year we will kick off the 23rd Annual Washington Town and Country Fair Parade on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. The Fair’s 2016 theme is “Family Tradition”. The same theme will be used for the parade, but with a focus on float decorations to be carnival rides. We have also scheduled a rain date for the Parade of Monday, August 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, please check the Fair facebook page or the website for updates.
Mandatory Participant & Number Pick-Up Meetings: Monday July 18th @ 7:00 p.m. or Thursday July 21st @ 7:00 p.m. at the Farmers Market located next door to the Chamber Office. There are changes to the staging area lineup this year and a representative from your group MUST ATTEND one of these meetings. Groups not represented will be dropped from the parade! Please mark your calendar now to have someone attend.
Float Judging Floats have the opportunity to be judged. If you would like your float to be judged please indicate this on the entry form. Prizes will be awarded as follows 1st place- $200.00 & trophy, 2nd place- $150.00 & trophy, and 3rd place- $100.00 & trophy. Awards will be given out at 6:30 pm at the After Parade Party. Please have a representative present and close to the stage so they can hear the announcement.
