Update Friday 8/4

11:05 p.m. - All children waiting for rides at the Northwest gate are being moved to shelter in the Exhibitor Building for safety.    Children will be released from the North Park  gate behind the Exhibitor Building.  Updates will be posted as available.

10:40 p.m. - Due to severe weather approaching in the next 30 minutes, we are closing the fairgrounds at 11 p.m.

3:00 p.m. - The Eckelkamp Lot is now open.

​11:30 a.m. - The Midway has closed due to lightning.  It will re-open as scheduled at 1 p.m.

9:30 a.m. - Shuttles will start running at 10 a.m. at the lots below. Mercy lots will open at 5 p.m. St. Gertrude's schedule will remain unchanged (5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9:00 p.m., 10:30 p.m., Midnight).  The shuttles will drop-off at the Northwest (child drop off) gate until 3 p.m., and then move to the North Gate.

7:15 a.m. - All parking lots at the fairgrounds are closed. We have trams running to the following lots:

• Volunteer Parking is in the paved Lakeview Baseball Field lots by the Y.
• Public Parking is in the Borgia High School and Washington West Elementary lots.

Update Thursday 8/3

​12:00 p.m. - Bull Riding, Freestyle American Bullfighting, and Mutton Bustin' will proceed as scheduled tonight.  Barrel Racing has been canceled.

9:15 a.m. - Additional Shuttle Lots will open at 10 a.m.      More Details here.

8:10 a.m. - Grass parking lots at the fairgrounds are currently closed.  The Borgia High School and Washington West Shuttle Lots are currently open with trams running.  We are working to open the parking lots and will post updates when available.

Update 8/2/2023:

8:20 p.m. - Due to significant weather moving into the area, the fairgrounds will be closing.

​1:14 p.m. - Rides will open at 1:30 p.m. and run continuously until at least 7:00 p.m.
1:14 p.m. - Bull Riding & Barrel Racing is postponed and will be combined with Thursday Rodeo Events.

12:36 p.m. - The shuttle service will be available starting at 3 p.m. today at  Washington High School, Washington Middle School, Bank of Washington Commuter Lot, St. Francis Borgia High School, First Christian Church, and Washington West Elementary.    Shuttles will not pick up at Mercy Medical Buildings until 5 p.m.

11:22 a.m. - The Queen Contest will be held at the Fairgrounds  on the Pepsi Main Stage at 5 p.m.

11:22 a.m. -   Performances from Jo's School of Dance in the Family Fun Center  will be at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. (instead of 4 & 5:30).

9:55 a.m. - The Midway will not open for the 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. session as scheduled.    

9:55 a.m. - The Inflatables for Family Fun Center (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.) have been canceled.

About Us:      The 2023 Washington Town & Country Fair will be held August 2-6 in Washington, Missouri.  At the WashMO Fair, gate admission covers everything but food/drink and games of chance, so plan to spend the whole day at the fair soaking up the fun.  The midway features over 20 rides.  The Family Fun Center has a jam-packed schedule of stage shows, contests, and interactive fun, while Agriland brings the farm to kids with a petting zoo, combine cab, and corn, soybean, and wheat-filled sandboxes.  Watch in wonder as the chainsaw carvers create masterpieces right in front of your eyes, or show off your ag trivia skills competing in the Wheels of Agriculture Game Show!
All interactive exhibits have plenty of seating for the adults to rest up while the kids play.  The fun kicks into overdrive in the evening with the motorsports events (bull riding, freestyle American bullfighting, Pro Pulling League Truck & Tractor Pull, ITPA Tractor & Mini Rod Pull, Stadium Motocross) and concerts (Gabby Barrett, Nelly, Big & Rich w/ Generation Radio, and Shooting Star w/ Missouri).  Did we mention the concerts are included with your admission?  Whatever fun you are looking for, you are sure to find it August 2-6 at the Washington Town & Country Fair.  It’s a great deal close to home – season tickets or daily passes are available, and children under 6 are completely free!
