FIRST DAY TO REGISTER IS MONDAY, JUNE 7 AT 9 A.M.!

​Register online at www.washmofair.com/registration. 

Registration Deadline:  Friday, July 16 (some contests will allow on-site registration)

Check-In required for each contest.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start of contest.
 
 
ADULT SUPER FARMER CONTEST
Wednesday, August 4, approx. 6:30 p.m.
Hog Arena    Ages:  15 and up
• Limited to first 25 couples.
• On-site registration only.
• Teams (made of 1 male, 1 female) earn points based on how quickly they complete a variety of farm-related tasks.  Most total points wins.
• Prize:  1st—$75, 2nd—$60, 3rd—$45

BINGO 
Sunday, August 8, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center   All Ages
On-site registration only.

BUBBLE GUM BLOWING CONTEST
Wednesday, August 4, 11:00 a.m.
Family Fun Center    Ages:  4-12
• Entrants will be divided into three age groups.
• Two pieces of bubble gum will be provided for each contestant.  Contestants using any other gum will be disqualified.
• Largest bubble blown wins.
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!

CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
Saturday, August 7, 1:00 p.m..
Livestock Show Arena    21 years or older
• Pre-registration recommended, on-site registration begins at 12:30 p.m.  
• Limited to the first 64 entries.
• $20 registration on-site  (doesn't include fair admission).  Pre-registration:   $70 (includes Saturday admission) or $20 (if players already have admission).

DONUT ON A STRING EATING CONTEST
Wednesday, August 4, 1:00 p.m. (must check in by 12:45)
Family Fun Center    Ages:  4-12
• Participants will eat a donut hanging on a string without touching the donut with any body parts.
• First person to eat donut wins.
• Participant is disqualified if donut falls to floor or if participant touches donut.
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!


 EDIBLE BUG MAKING CONTEST
Friday, August 6, 1:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center    Ages:  All Ages
• Participants will create bugs out of edible food items provided
*on-site registration available!


EGG DROP CONTEST
Sunday, August 8, 12:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center    Ages:  All Ages
• Contestants will attempt to catch eggs dropped from increasing heights from a fire ladder truck.
• If the egg breaks, the contestant is disqualified.
• Eggs must be caught with bare hands.
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!


FITNESS CHALLENGE, presented by  Athletico Physical Therapy
Thursday, August 5, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Family Fun Center Ages: 5-18
• Ladder drills, cone drills, hurdle jumps, push-ups, sit-ups, sprints and jumping jacks.
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!


FROZEN YOGURT EATING CONTEST,  presented by Orange Leaf
Saturday, August 7, 2:00 p.m. (check-in by 1:45)
Family Fun Center    Ages:  All Ages
• Pre-Registration recommended—limited to first 16 contestants registered per age group.
• First person to completely clean out container is named the winner.  Prizes given to top two participants in each category.

FUNNEL CAKE EATING
Friday, August 6, 10:30 a.m.
Family Fun Center   Ages: 4-12
• Pre-Registration Required—limited to first 8 participants per division, no alternates

HIPPITY HOP
Wednesday, August 4, 3:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center   Ages: 3-9
• Pre-Registration Required—limited to first 16 participants per division, no alternates

HULA HOOP CONTEST
Thursday, August 5, 1:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center    Ages:  4-12
• Hula Hoops will be provided. 
• Participants must stay within a specific area.
• Participants may be asked to walk (forward and backward) while “hooping.”
• Last participating “hooping” will be the winner.
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!


HOT WING EATING CONTEST
Saturday, August 7, 4:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center
2 Divisions—Extra Hot / Regular
• Pre-Registration recommended -  limited to first 10 entries per division
• First person to finish eating the specified amount of wings in the time allotted will win.  
• Participants must check in by 4:45 or space will be given to another participant.

KIDS’ SUPER FARMER CONTEST
Wednesday, August 4, 5:30 p.m.
Hog Show Arena    Ages:  5-14
• Pre-Registration Required—limited to first 10 participants per division, no alternates
• Participants earn points based on how quickly they complete farm-related tasks.  Most total points wins.

MULE NUGGET TOSS
Sunday, August 8, 3:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center   All ages
On-site registration only.

PEDAL TRACTOR PULL
Saturday, August 7, 9:00 a.m.
Sheep Show Arena  ª  Ages:  4-10 and 11-18(teen)
•   Sanctioned Pull—Top 3 boys and Top 3 girls from each youth age group qualify for State Pull in Sedalia.
•   Pedal tractor will be furnished.  Contestants may not use their own tractors.

OREO STACKING CONTEST
Thursday, August 5, 3:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center   Ages:  4-12
• Each participant will have 60 seconds to stack as many sandwich cookies in a single stack as they can.
• Cookie stack must stand for at least 10 seconds after time is called.
• Participant with tallest standing stack wins.
• Participants can only use hands to stack.

PIE EATING CONTEST
Saturday, August 7, 3:30 p.m.
Entertainment Tent   Ages 8 and up
On-site registration only.​

PIG CHASE
Thursday, August 5, 7:00 p.m.—check in at 6:30
Sheep Show Arena    Ages:  5-19
•   Pre-Registration Required—contest limited to first 15 contestants registered per division, no alternates.
•   Pig will be greased with corn oil.  Contestants may get dirty.
•   Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

TURTLE RACE
Saturday, August 7, 12:00 p.m.
Family Fun Center    Ages:  3-10
• Turtles entered must be tortoise (hard shell, box turtle) land species variety.  No snapping or soft-shell turtles.
• Turtles will be placed in center of 10’ circle.  First turtle to have ENTIRE body outside of circle wins
*on-site registration available, 40 minutes in advance!


WATER FLIPPER RACE
Friday, August 6, 2:30 p.m.
Family Fun Center   Ages: 4-12
• Pre-Registration Required—limited to first 8 participants per division, no alternates
• Water flippers provided.

LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST
Sunday, August 8, 1:00 p.m.
Cattle Barn    Ages: 8-18 and 19+
On-site registration only.
• Teams made up of 4 people.
• Each Team member will do each part of the contest and the scores will be tabulated together giving the team score.
Judging Rules
• There will be 4 classes of animals—Market Steer, Market Hog, Market Lamb, Beef Breeding
• Each Class will include 4 animals
• Officials will rank all 4 animals from the best to the least desirable.
• Contestants will be given a score card to use
• Contestants will get ten minutes at each animal class before rotating
• Each animal will be clearly numbered for identification
• Contestants will not be allowed to communicate with one another
• Infractions of this rule will be cause for elimination or point penalty at judge’s discretion.
• Contestants will not be allowed to handle the livestock.
