The 2017 Washington Town & Country Fair Parade will be held on Sunday, July 30 at 4:00 p.m. Applications for entries are available HERE or at the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce at 323 West Main Street. There is a $75 entry fee for businesses and a $25 entry fee for non-profit organizations. Applications are due by June 23 to avoid a late fee. Absolutely no entries will be accepted after June 30. Entries have the option of being judged. Cash prizes with a trophy will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place floats.
The parade begins at Circle and High Streets and will travel south on High Street to 5th Street. The parade will then travel east on 5th Street to Jefferson Street. On Jefferson, entries will travel north until reaching Main Street. The parade will end at Cedar and Main Streets where parade officials will direct entries down Front Street back to Fairgrounds.
After Parade Party
The Chamber of Commerce will again be hosting an After-Parade Party at the Farmers’ Market at the conclusion of the parade. The party will include live music and food/drink will be available for purchase. Awards for parade floats will be presented at 6:30 p.m.
