The Washington Brass Band is a community band with history dating back to the early 1900s. The Washington Boys Band and the Washington Concert Band both had members who had played with the Washington Elks Band and the International Shoe Factory Band. Some members of the Washington Boys Band still play with us today!
We primarily play marches with some waltzes, polka's, a little Dixieland, with a few other styles thrown in.
Musicians of all skill levels are welcome to play with us. We have adults who play regularly, high school kids, and folks who want to get back into playing their instrument after years of leaving it in the closet.
Rehearsals are held Thursday nights from 8:00 to 9:30 pm in the lower level of the Washington KC Hall. On rare occasions, practice is cancelled, or held elsewhere because of another booking in the hall. If you come and there is no practice, be sure to try again.
